author : K. LynK. Lyn Wurth is a lifelong American Great Plains and Rocky Mountain region settler. She writes fiction that considers health, family life, regional experiences and history, focusing on displaced characters who seek courage and connection to place. Most of these stories unfold in that vast expanse of the great American West.A graduate of Augustana University in South Dakota, she focused on Great Plains and Western literature and creative writing for her Master of Arts in English from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.With other education and life experience in medicine (including a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies), teaching and visual arts, K. Lyn Wurth now writes stories and novels in rural northwest Iowa, where she's found love and roots with her husband, David.Her short fiction has appeared in The Broadkill Review, The Examined Life Journal, St. Anthony Messenger and The Arduous Touch: Women's Voices in Healthcare, an anthology published by Purdue University Press.
